The big story
The big story began at Elmwood Design with the big question: where has the Great British cuppa disappeared to?
We decided to act – and create a quality brew for our hardworking nation. And who knows best about quality brews? Builders. So we went to the annual builders’ Interbuild conference, rounded up some builders and had ourselves a tea-tasting session.
We came away with a tasty, builder-approved brew with:
- truly satisfying, lip-smacking strength
- smooth, strong, sturdy body
- a brightness that really gets to work on your thirst.
Plus, it only takes 20 seconds to reach perfection – that’s less stirring and waiting, and more valuable tea-break time. RESULT.
The big idea
There are two big ideas behind Make Mine a Builders:
1. Refreshing the nation
- to refresh our nation of tea drinkers
- make tea breaks a bit more special
- put the ‘Wham Bam Thank You Ma’am’ back into everyday, no-nonsense tea.
2. Refreshing the building trade
The other big idea is to give something back to the UK’s builders. Together with the Federation of Master Builders we’ve set up a foundation to recruit and train a new generation of builders, using some of the proceeds from our tea. After all, without builders there might have been no Make Mine a Builders in the first place.
The Federation of Master Builders is a non-profit-making trade association in place to protect the interests of small and medium-sized building firms. A source of knowledge, professional advice and support, the FMB provides a range of business-building services that can save firms time and money.
